The flag of the Senior Administrator is blue with a Tricolour flag in canton. The letters TAAF (Terres Australes et Antarctiques Françaises), arranged in the shape of an anchor, in white, and accompanied by three white stars, are placed in lower fly.

 divisions: 
None (overseas territory of France), there are no first-order administrative divisions as defined by the US Government, but there are 5 districts named Ile Crozet, Iles Kerguelen, Iles Saint-Paul et Amsterdam, Adelie Land, and Îles Éparses (Scaterred Islands) - Tromelin, Juan de Nova, Glorioso, Europa, and Bassas da India; also "Adelie Land" claim in Antarctica that is not recognized by the US and many countries.
Attention:
Îles Éparses (Scattered Islands), which are under the authority of the Minister of the Overseas Territories since the decree of January 3, 2005; they are neither department, neither territory, nor local authority. The administration of the Scattered Islands is entrusted to the Prefect, Higher Administrator Of The French Southern and Antarctic Lands (TAAF); islands are not part of TAAF. The Éparses Islands do not are part of the territory of the European Union. The Éparses Is. are classified as natural reserves by the Prefectoral Decrees, thus regulating the fishing and the stay of the people on these islands.
2007-03-15: Status of Îles Éparses changed from private domain of the state to district.
